Invisalign Elite Provider Care in Des Moines
Most practices that advertise Invisalign fit a handful of cases a year. Blooming Dental holds Elite Provider status, which is awarded on volume and outcomes, and this office — open three days a week — sees the larger share of them.
What separates the treatment here is less the aligner brand than who plans it. Dr. Yoon has specialty training in orthodontics and in prosthodontics. The orthodontic half moves teeth correctly; the prosthodontic half makes sure the result still works in a mouth that has crowns, bridges or implants in it.
That matters more than it sounds for adults. Very few adult mouths are untouched — there is usually restorative history somewhere, and aligner plans that ignore it finish with teeth in a technically straight position that the existing work no longer fits.
Fewer refinements, shorter treatment. Refinements are the extra aligner sets ordered when teeth do not track as planned, and they are the main reason one course of Invisalign runs months longer than another. Volume and planning reduce how often they are needed.
Which Cases Suit Clear Aligners
The digital scan at your first visit answers this properly, but here is what aligner treatment at this office typically covers.
Crowded teeth. Overlapping or twisted teeth where the arch is short of room — among the most reliable corrections aligners make.
Gaps between teeth. Closed progressively, which for many patients is a better answer than bonding over them permanently.
Teeth that drifted after braces. Retainer wear stops, teeth move back. This is the single most common adult case we see, and usually one of the quicker ones.
Overbite, underbite, crossbite, open bite. Correctable within limits that we will spell out before you commit rather than discover later.
Alignment ahead of restorative treatment. If veneers, crowns or dental implants are on the horizon, moving the teeth first usually means less drilling and a better long-term result.
And where aligners are not the answer. Significant skeletal discrepancies and some severe rotations need fixed appliances. We would rather say so at the consultation than take the case and disappoint you.

Your Invisalign Treatment, Step by Step
This office runs Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, so appointment scheduling is rarely the constraint here — most patients find a slot that fits without rearranging their week.
1. Digital scan. An iTero scanner replaces the putty impression trays. Three minutes, no gagging, and a far more accurate model than the old method produced.
2. See it before you buy it. The scan generates a simulation of how your teeth move and where they end up. If you do not like what you see, you have lost nothing but an hour.
3. Written plan and estimate. Number of aligners, timeline, total cost, what is and is not included — before treatment is booked.
4. Wearing them. 20–22 hours a day, swapped on schedule, removed to eat and clean. Compliance is genuinely the whole game; the aligners only work while they are in.
5. Reviews. Short progress appointments spread through treatment, and with three clinic days we can usually give you a time that does not cost you a morning off.
6. Refinements, if needed. Sometimes teeth do not track exactly to plan and a short extra series finishes the job. Elite Provider protocols reduce how often this happens, but we would rather tell you it is possible now than surprise you later.
7. Retainers. Non-negotiable. Teeth move back without them, which is why a large share of adult aligner patients are on their second course.
Invisalign Cost and Payment in Des Moines
The honest answer is that aligner cost depends on how far your teeth have to travel. A mild relapse case and a full-arch correction are different amounts of work, different numbers of aligners and different timelines, so a number quoted before anyone has looked at your teeth is not worth much.

Insurance often contributes. We accept Delta Dental and UHC; for other plans we file as an out-of-network provider. Many policies carry a separate lifetime orthodontic benefit that sits outside your annual maximum, which people frequently do not realise they have. Bring your plan details and we will check it.
