Our Des Moines office is the base for most implant treatment at Blooming Dental, with clinic days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Implants and the restorations that go on them are the core of the practice, not a sideline.
Patients come from Kent, Burien, Federal Way, Normandy Park and SeaTac, and from the Redondo, Woodmont and Zenith neighbourhoods around the office. Seattle patients use it too, because parking here is easier than downtown.
A note for anyone searching from out of state: this is Des Moines, Washington — the waterfront city between Seattle and Tacoma, near Highline College. We do not have an Iowa location.

Why a Prosthodontist Places Your Implants in Des Moines
This is the busier of our two offices and the base for most surgical work, which matters when your case is not straightforward. Full-arch treatment, grafting, sinus lifts and staged dental implant cases are planned and carried out here across three clinic days a week.
Dr. Yoon has placed over 5,000 dental implants in 30+ years, with specialty training in prosthodontics and orthodontics. Prosthodontics is the specialty for replacing and restoring teeth — what general dentists refer out when a case stops being routine.
The practical consequence is that placement and restoration are one person’s responsibility rather than two. No surgeon who places and then hands you to a dentist who restores, and no gap between them where the bite gets lost.
The second-opinion case. A good share of the patients who come to this office were told somewhere else that they did not have enough bone for a dental implant. Sometimes that is right. Often it means the practice does not do grafting, or does not use short implants. A CBCT scan settles it in about ten minutes, and we will tell you honestly which of the two it is.
Dental Implant Treatments We Carry Out in Des Moines
This office handles the full range, including the complex cases the Lynnwood clinic day would not comfortably fit.
Single and multiple dental implants. One post and crown per tooth, or an implant-supported bridge spanning a gap on two implants instead of several.
Full-arch: All-on-4 and All-on-6. Fixed teeth on four or six implants for people missing most or all of an arch — the detail is on our full mouth dental implants page. Many patients land instead on an implant-retained snap-on denture, which restores most of the function for considerably less.
Zirconia dental implants. A metal-free alternative to titanium, for patients who want one. Titanium remains the better-evidenced choice for most cases and we will say so rather than upsell.
Bone grafting, sinus lifts and ridge augmentation. Carried out here rather than referred out. PRF from your own blood is used to speed healing and reduce post-operative discomfort.

Same-day placement where bone density and initial stability allow: implant and temporary tooth at one appointment. The CBCT scan decides, and we will not promise it beforehand.
What we do not do: adults only, no wisdom tooth removal, local anaesthetic and nitrous oxide only — no IV sedation or general anaesthesia.
The Implant Process, Step by Step
1. Consultation and 3D imaging. An examination plus an in-office CBCT scan, which shows bone volume, nerve position and sinus anatomy in three dimensions. This is what decides whether you can have an implant, how many, and whether grafting is needed.
2. A written plan and a written estimate. Before anything is scheduled. Number of implants, whether grafting is involved, the restoration type, the timeline and the cost.
3. Placement. Computer-guided surgery under local anaesthetic, with nitrous oxide if you want it. Most single-implant appointments are shorter and far less eventful than people expect.
4. Healing. The implant fuses to the bone over roughly three to six months, depending on the site and whether grafting was done. PRF is used to support healing. You are not left without teeth in the meantime — a temporary is provided where it is appropriate.
5. The restoration. A digital iTero scan, then the crown, bridge or arch is made and fitted. This is the half a prosthodontist is trained for.
6. Maintenance. Implants do not decay, but the gum and bone around them still need care. We set a review schedule at the end of treatment. Because this office runs Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, we plan those intervals around it from the start.
What Dental Implants Cost in Des Moines
There is no single number, and anyone who gives you one over the phone is guessing. What actually moves the price:
How many teeth. A single implant and a full arch are different treatments at different scales.
Whether you need bone. Grafting or a sinus lift adds cost and time. CBCT imaging tells us at the consultation, not halfway through.
What sits on top. A single crown, an implant bridge, a fixed full arch and a snap-on denture are four different price points.
Materials. Titanium or zirconia, and the restoration material.

Payment plans. CareCredit, Cherry, LendingClub and HFD, covering short interest-free terms and longer monthly plans. Approval is usually decided while you are in the office.
Insurance. We accept Delta Dental and UHC and file out-of-network claims for other plans. Coverage for implants is usually partial and capped by your annual maximum — where it helps, we can stage treatment across two benefit years so you use two maximums instead of one. See financing and insurance.
